Walking into a newly decorated model home or home furniture store can be an overwhelming sensation of satisfaction. Furniture on display in any arena is decorated by professionals and presented to the public to gab the attention of the buyer, making us look at the quality of furniture, the shapes, style and color. Without realizing it the buyer also looks at the accessories that go with that room, and most of the time that includes the silk flower arrangements, this sometimes can be the deciding factor when we choose what to buy.
On the other hand, when I walk into a model or furniture store I see the decorating accessories first, the flower displays, what colors are used, size and shapes of the arrangement, does it fit with the over all look the store is presenting. What do the plants do that are on display for me in relation to the room, what floral looks best for the bedroom, what floral looks best for the kitchen, silk flower designs and color make the difference in how the rooms theme will match with the homes theme. These things are important to me when I start to create my flower arrangements I want that same quality in all my designs. I plan my designs and arrangements before I even begin my work.
When planning a silk floral arrangement I look for a quality flower, I look for colors that are complementary to each other in the same color scheme, do the colors enhance the vase I have chosen and will it all pull together in the room where it is be displayed. Does it hold the one true test for me, does it bring tranquility in to my home, a sense of peace with its beauty, for flowers I choose have a unique way that leave a lasting impression with me, and I cherish the moment when admiring my finished product.
Scientific studies have proven that the power of flowers can activate positive emotions from people and each bloom can put a smile on our face. Ever see the face of a woman when handed a single flower? Waking each morning to a beautiful bouquet of flowers will start our day with confidence and feelings of serenity that will last throughout the day and the presence of flowers can lead to increased contentment with family, friends and coworkers.
Take that leap, visit your flower center pick your flowers your containers, supplies and get started. In the beginning it can sometimes be overwhelming but with a silver pot, a drop of glue, and a golden leaf it can be the start of your new hobby. Creating a silk flower arrangement will fill you the satisfaction and pride, and after you have completed your new design you can give it as a gift, and share your joy.
